Jon qualified and practised as a Barrister and Solicitor in his native New Zealand, before moving to the UK in 2010, where he has specialised in family law.

Jon has a particular interest in divorces, the separation of unmarried couples involving difficult property disputes and cases with an international flavour. He has earned particular respect for his success handling cases in which a parent seeks to remove a child from the jurisdiction.

Zoe is Head of our Commercial Department.

She qualified as a solicitor in 2014, having taken a Degree in Law at Bournemouth University, and subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course at Guildford Law School in 2011.

She undertook her two year training contract at Levales, Solicitors, which included a six month secondment to Rushmoor Borough Council to enable her to pursue her interest in commercial and planning law.

On qualification, Zoe joined Hampshire County Council in Winchester to develop and deepen her specialism in commercial law where she remained until she joined Woodford Stauffer to replace Joanna Aylwin (upon her retirement) as Head of Department, in October 2018. 

Zoe has expertise and regularly advises on all aspects relating to commercial leasehold and freehold premises, acting for both vendors and purchasers.   Her expertise covers:

  • Purchases and renewals
  • Lease Assignments and Surrenders
  • Sales including drafting commercial Leases
  • Guarantees and Securities
  • Acquisition of development land, Deeds of Dedication, Deeds of Postponement and Option Agreements

Katie is a member of the family law team and has profound expertise in the area of children law and domestic violence. 

Following a Master’s Degree in modern history from St Andrew’s University, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice at the University of Law in Guildford, qualifying in 2011. Since qualification she has specialised in her chosen areas of children and domestic violence, although she deals with all aspects of family law from divorce, co-habitation, financial remedies and child arrangement disputes.

Katie is an Accredited Specialist with Resolution in both private children law and domestic abuse.   Out of hours, she volunteers with a domestic outreach group in Surrey, providing monthly advice clinics on domestic abuse and protective measures and also regularly attends pro bono advice clinics in the local area.

Georgie manages one of our residential conveyancing teams.

After a Degree from the University of Nottingham in politics. She trained and qualified as a licenced conveyancer in 2012 and then as a chartered legal executive in 2014.

She trained in residential conveyancing with a local firm, Harrison Li, and then moved to a large specialist property firm in Guildford, GCL.   There, she worked closely with developers and purchasers and was chosen to spend 4 years working in Hong Kong as an appointed lawyer acting for purchasers at property exhibitions.

She joined us as a team manager in July 2018. 

Georgie is skilled in all aspects of residential conveyancing including shared ownership and help to buy assisted properties, new builds, auctions, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
