Fixed fee work 1: divorce law

For all the steps necessary to obtain a final divorce decree we will charge £450 plus VAT. There will be an additional court fee charge to process the divorce papers (approximately £200).

In an individual case we reserve the right to end the fixed fee arrangement (or not to use a fixed fee in the first place) for divorce work either:

  1. where there is difficulty in serving divorce papers on the other party; this happens in only a minority of cases where the other party for instance will not instruct solicitors or the other party lives abroad;
  2. in the unlikely event that the divorce becomes defended. In such rare cases there can be considerable extra work involved.
